May Currently

Good Evening!

Oh my goodness where has the time gone! I can't believe we are already in May. I feel like this year has gone by faster than normal. To start this month off I am linking up with Farly for her final Currently linky.

So this weekend has been exhausting so I am lacking the energy right now to move to a location in the house where I don't have to listen to my hubby's crazy TV shows. It makes for some weird background noise.

The lack of energy  is totally worth it though. We have company coming next weekend so we gave our home the deep, company is coming, spring cleaning. My house is so sparkly clean right now and I am loving it!! Its a little sad to think that it won't last long though. Either way I just need it to stay sparkly for the craziness of this week.

My mom, sister, brother in law, and nephew are all coming into town this Thursday. They are coming to help celebrate my sweet little girl's second birthday. I am soooooo excited to have my family here but at the same time a little sad. I can not believe my baby is going to be TWO already. Time goes by sooo fast. I really want it to slow down a little. Since I know that won't happen I am making the most of all the little moments that I can.

To make this coming week and weekend a success I really need to get over this head cold. The difficulty breathing is really beginning to drive me bananas. Today was a little better so here is to hoping that tomorrow is even better.

So now for some truth....I am sad to see this school year end but not because of the kids. That sounds bad but I have the privilege of moving up a grade with my kiddos next year so I don't see the end of the year as a sad moment with them. I am sad because some of my closest friends will no longer be working at the same school with me next year. I have been truly blessed to work with these amazing ladies and it makes me sad to think that I will not be working with all of them each day. We will all stay in contact with each other because we are friends, but selfishly I want them to still be working at the same school. We had made some great memories and will make a few more before our last school day together this year.

Currently - January

Good Evening!

Tonight I am linking up with Farley over at Oh Boy Fourth Grade for her Currently Linky.

Tonight I am enjoying my first night of free time in a month. My hubby is playing his new PS4 and my sweet baby girl is sound asleep. This means that I have free time to do as I please. So I am loving my free time and using it to catch up on season 4 of Hart of Dixie. I absolutely love this series and I am so excited to finally have the chance to binge watch and catch up.

Unfortunately I am also having thoughts sneak in about how much work I should be working on instead of binge watching a tv show. If only I had a few more days of vacation. But that's what I always say. I will get around to finishing the work and the report cards that won't finish themselves. I will just get to it tomorrow.

All in all I can sum life up into one word: happy. My life is busy, crazy, messy, overwhelming and so much more but I wouldn't change any of it. This messy life makes me happy and all the family and friends that I have been blessed with make my life happy each and every day.

Currently: November

Hi!

I can not believe it is already November 1st! Where did October go? I love this time of year but it definitely goes by quickly.

This afternoon I am linking up with Farly over at Oh Boy Fourth Grade for her Currently linky.

I love that the Hallmark channel begins playing Christmas movies on November 1st and plays them all day and night until Christmas. Its my favorite time of year!

I am also so very excited that cooler weather is finally making its way to Arizona. It is now finally starting to feel like fall here. I'm hoping that the temp will drop even lower so I can pull out my sweaters and boots.

My want and need are the same today. I want another day to rest and relax to get over this bug. Both my daughter and I have it. I'm hoping I feel better tomorrow when I head back to the classroom. If not it will be a very long day.

I have not really eaten a whole lot this weekend but I love all the yummy pumpkin treats that come out during this time of year. I am a big pumpkin fan!

Currently May

I can't believe it is May 2 already! My year with my little firsties is almost over. It seems like the year has gone by so quickly. I will definitely miss this group and their crazy energy. It's going to be a wild 15 final days with them as they are already in full blown summer vacation mode.

This morning my hubby and I are trying out the Netflix original series Daredevil. We are a super hero loving family so we will try any of these shows. Its pretty good although Superman will always be my favorite, especially the new ones with Henry Cavill.

I am loving my weekend with my little family. It has been a full year since we have had a full weekend to spend together. My hubby just finished his masters so we can look forward to many more weekends like this. I am so excited!

Along with spending the weekend together we are planning our sweet little girl's first birthday. Where has the time gone?! I can not believe she will be a year old this Thursday! She is definitely a beautiful blessing and adventure. We are excited to celebrate this milestone with her and look forward to all the adventures the new year will bring with our fearless, funny little girl.

I am in desperate need of motivation to focus and finish my lesson plans for the week. I believe my brain may have already started focusing on summer vacation. Hopefully at some point this weekend I will motivate myself to finish my work.

This summer will be a busy summer. First I get to spend all nine weeks with my sweet girl. I can't wait! I love teaching my little firsties but I really miss being a full time mommy as well. I am hoping to make my end of the summer SoCal trip a little longer so my sweet girl and I can spend more time with all our family and friends out there. I am also dreaming of being able to tag along to Texas with my hubby for a week. We haven't had a vacation together other than visiting family in SoCal since we got married. It would be a lot of fun to just travel together for a family vacation with just the 3 of us.

Currently - April

Hello Everyone! I can't believe today is April 1st. Time seems to be going by so fast at some moments and at others it seems to be moving at a snails pace.

We have made it into the home stretch for our school. We have 35 more days and it seems like there is so much left to do. We will see how much I can fit in before I say goodbye to my little first graders.

So today I am trying something new. I am linking up with Oh Boy 4th Grade for her Currently. This will be my very first link up. I am very excited to be learning so many new things in the blogging world. Here we go...

As I started working on this I was listening to Curious George tunes. My sweet girl loves to fall asleep snuggled with mommy or daddy and listening to the music from that show. There is something about that show and its music that is calming. My first graders love watching the TV series on rainy days or days that we have to eat in our rooms. It is about the only time my room is quiet. I am blessed with a very expressive group of kiddos this year.

The first graders that we have had the last year have had such a wide range of abilities in reading and math that we have decided to restructure for next year. That is one of many reasons why I love working with two of my closest friends every day. We sat after school today and designed a plan for next year and brainstormed all sorts of cool ways to make learning more effective and exciting for our kiddos.

However all that planning makes me think about my sweet girl. I am so excited to spend the next four days with her and just be a mom. I have stayed up way past normal the last few nights to make sure that all I have to do is be a mom for the 4 day weekend. My teaching hat will be hung up for the weekend. Which is probably good since now I really want and need more sleep. Hopefully my sweet girl will allow for an extra hour and a midday nap.

Well tomorrow my room will live up to my blog name. We have our Easter activities, a Fun Run with K-2 grade, a movie, and math tests. Our room is going to feel a lot like a jungle. When we have this many special activities and tests in one day my kids tend to lose control a little. Thankfully they will get to run a little energy off at the Fun Run.

Well I seem to have made it through my first link and currently! Yah!!
