Good Morning!
So on this beautiful January 2 I am trying to keep my goal about being better about blogging by linking up with Schroeder Shenanigans in Second and Lucky Little Learners for their Together We are Better linky. This month is all about plans and goals. Come and join us if you can!
My biggest plan for 2016 is to be more organized. Last year was a little crazy being and new mom and trying to teach so I let a lot of my organization practices go. This year I am putting all my old organization habits back in play and I am bring organization to my blogging and TpT world. I am hoping that by organizing my thoughts and ideas for my blog and TpT products that it will help me stay focused and help me grow my little blog and TpT store.
To help me with this I found this adorable binder that actually has similar colors to my blog and button. In this I have printed a a large collection of papers from Schroeder Shenanigans in Seconds amazing Blog Organization Packet. I have printed enough pages in each category to keep me accountable for all of 2016. I have pages for the blog posts I will write each week, TpT sales tracker pages for each month, product idea pages, product profile pages, and stat trackers. The pages from this packet are amazing and work perfectly for what I wanted. Hopefully this will help me stay organized and focused on growing my blog and store this year.
Thanks for letting me share! Come and link up for this awesome linky and see some amazing ideas from teacher bloggers all over.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Together We Are Better: Making Improvements
Good Morning,
I am continue to catch up by linking up with Schroeder Shenanigans in Second and Lucky Little Learners for this months Together We Are Better linky.
This month's linky topic goes along perfectly with thoughts that have been swimming in my head all summer. This coming school year I will be doing a teacher split with my partner teacher. I will be teaching all the little firsties math, science, social studies, and handwriting. She will be teaching the rest of the subjects. This requires some big changes in my room. I no longer need all the reading, writing, and phonics posters in my room. Along with this I have been reading Mindsets in the Classroom, Teaching with Intention, and Learn Like a Pirate. These books have also given me lots of ideas for my classroom.
Unfortunately I don't have any photos at this time. I have only been in my room twice since school let out a month ago so it is still a disaster. It is also slow going since I bring my one year old with me.
All of my bulletin boards/covered wall spaces are receiving face lifts. I have chosen new colors (blue, green, and purple) for my room. One of my boards is becoming an "I Can" wall where I will post the statements for science, math, and social studies. I am adding a space near my classroom library for a bible wall. This will be where I post bible projects and verses throughout the year. Outside my room I am turning one of my walls into a gratitude wall. I will be having my kids write what they are thankful for once a week and then posting their thoughts on that board so that we can be reminded of all the wonderful gifts we have all been blessed with. I have not decided quite yet what the other boards/wall spaces will be yet but pictures will be posted when I finish my room.
I am also excited to have expanded my library/meeting area. It has always been small and in a corner of my room. We have always struggled to fit in that space so this year I have moved furniture around and made it larger so that we can easily fit in for class meetings and they kids have more reading space too.
That's all I have for now but I will be in my classroom all this week so I will try to add a few photos to show a little of what I am talking about above.

Together We are Better: Office Space

Today I am linking up with Shroeder Shenanigans in Second and Lucky Little Learners for the 2gether We are Better linky. This month it is all about home office spaces. Now I am a day late on this but oh well. Hopefully next month I will make it the day of : )
Our home actually has a designated office that we have decorated because my husband and I both do a lot of work at home. It is definitely the most interesting room in our house. It is the only room that doesn't match. We could not decide on decor for room so we split it in half. The half and half decor was our way of compromising, but it led to what you see below. Maybe someday we will find decor we both can agree on but for now this is what it will be.
As much as I love my side of this space I very rarely work in it. For the last two years its been mostly my husbands office since he was taking online classes to finish his masters. Since I needed a space to work in at the same time I started working in our loft area at a coffee table. Not a very likely area but I have come to love it.
It is nothing fancy but it is now my favorite place to work. I have plenty of space on the table and on the floor behind me to spread out all my books, papers, etc. and not feel crowded. It is also in the same room as a TV which works to my advantage because I can't work in complete quiet. I always have to have music or a show playing in the background. It gets a lot of sunlight unfortunately I am usually working at night. My sweet girl is my main focus. I take all the time I can to play and cuddle with her. Time goes by so fast and I don't want to miss a moment working, so after she goes to sleep is when most of the creating and planning happens.
Someday I may decide that the floor is no longer a good work place and work in the office again but for now this is my favorite place.
